Product Manager Application Store and Pipeline (PdM ASaP) is the designated Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) pathway for integrating software from commercial vendors, Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS), and Soldier-developed applications into the Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) ecosystem. The ASaP pipeline provides integrated validation and security services, certifying that all software and applications are operationally ready for delivery to the warfighter through a global storefront.
Description
PdM ASaP is a program designed to streamline how innovative applications are delivered to the warfighter. It provides a transparent, well-defined process that empowers developers to seamlessly integrate their solutions into the Army’s command and control systems, supporting the military’s transformation toward a more modular, data-centric, and survivable architecture.
PdM ASaP provides a robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline that serves as the engine for rapid and secure development. The pipeline accelerates developer integration by offering a frictionless onboarding experience complete with clear documentation, sandbox environments, and Application Programming Interface (API) access. Within the pipeline, applications undergo automated testing and security scans to validate them against the Army’s critical standards for survivability, mobility, and cybersecurity, ensuring applications are operationally ready to be deployed to the field.
The culmination of this process is a trusted, globally accessible storefront where warfighters can discover and deploy mission-ready, version-controlled applications. By providing clear pathways for both commercial developers and defense partners, PdM ASaP fosters a growing ecosystem of dual-use innovation, ensuring a continuous flow of operationally relevant capabilities to the modern battlefield.
The program leverages ongoing prototyping initiatives and current Army-owned DevSecOps (DSO) environments. This strategy culminates in the delivery of a comprehensive, full-stack-aligned solution that includes a developmental sandbox, a CI/CD pipeline, and a production-ready application storefront.
